Bookkeeping Pricing and Packages Queensland

We are not the cheapest option in the market. We are also not trying to be.

What we offer is a team of qualified, experienced BAS Agents who take accuracy seriously, work efficiently, and take genuine ownership of their clients’ files. Our team members know their clients’ books the way an internal accountant would. When you call with a question, you get an answer, not a callback.

If price is the only consideration, we are probably not the right fit. If accuracy, reliability, and a team that treats your file like their own matter to you, we would like to talk.

At Accounts Advantage, our Managing Director is CPA qualified and all our team members hold a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping. Many of our team members are registered BAS Agents in their own right, in addition to the firm itself being a registered BAS Agent. That means you get qualified, accountable professionals handling your books. Not just someone who learned on the job.

How Our Pricing Works

We do not publish a price list. Not because we are hiding anything, but because a price without seeing your file is meaningless.

A business with three transactions a week and clean books takes very different time to a business with hundreds of transactions, multiple entities, payroll, and two years of catch-up work behind it. Quoting the same price for both would be wrong for one of you.

What we can tell you is exactly how our pricing works, what is included, and what to expect from the moment you come on board.

For all businesses except childcare

We start on an hourly rate for the first three months. This is not a trial period. It is the time we need to review your file properly, understand the full scope of work, catch up anything that is behind, and get your books to a standard we are happy with.

The first few months almost always take more hours than ongoing maintenance will. Your file is new to us. There may be catch-up work. There are always things to fix. Once the file is clean and we know exactly what your books require each month, we move you to a fixed monthly fee from month three onwards.

That fixed fee is based on reality, not a guess. It reflects what we know your books actually take. It does not change unless your business changes significantly.

For childcare centres

We offer a fixed monthly fee from day one. Childcare bookkeeping has a consistent and predictable scope. We know what is involved and we can price it accurately from the outset.

What Is Included

Our services are scoped individually based on what each client needs. The core services we work with are bookkeeping, payroll, bill payment, BAS lodgement, monthly reporting, and assistance with year-end handover to your tax accountant.

Not every client takes every service. Some clients want bookkeeping and BAS only. Some want the full suite including payroll and accounts payable. Some childcare clients come to us for payroll only. We scope each engagement around what you actually need rather than forcing you into a bundle that does not fit.

The one thing we ask is that clients do not split core bookkeeping functions across multiple providers. We need to see and manage the full picture to do our job properly.

Our Minimum Engagement

Our minimum engagement is three hours per month. Below that threshold, the file cannot be maintained to the standard we hold ourselves to.

Why Our Rate Is Higher and Why It Works Out Less

The comparison that matters is not the hourly rate. It is the total hours billed.

A bookkeeper charging less per hour but taking significantly longer to do the same work does not cost you less. It costs you more. We have seen this pattern regularly when we take over files from other providers.

Our team work faster for three reasons.

We are an AI-first firm. We use the latest AI tools endorsed and recommended by the accounting industry. These tools reduce processing time without compromising accuracy. We have built our internal workflows around them.

Our team are Excel experts. We can export any file, run a pivot table, and work through data analysis in minutes that would take a less experienced bookkeeper far longer to do manually.

Our team are qualified BAS Agents. They know exactly what they are looking at. They do not spend time second-guessing the rules or researching obligations they should already know. They move quickly because they are trained to.

As your file gets cleaner month by month, the hours reduce further. The fixed monthly fee you move to at month three reflects a file that is already in good shape and a team that already knows your business.

What Happens When You Come On Board

Once you decide to proceed, we send you a proposal through Ignition, our practice management and proposal platform. You review it, sign it digitally, and return it to us.

From there, we ask you to complete four things before we start work:

  • Give us read-only access to your bank account. This allows us to download your bank statements each month and reconcile them against your Xero balance. For accounts payable clients it also allows us to upload ABA payment files.
  • Instruct your suppliers to send all invoices directly to payables@accountsadvantage.com.au.
  • Nominate Accounts Advantage as your BAS Agent through the ATO’s Online Services for Business portal at onlineservices.ato.gov.au/business. This gives us authority to prepare and lodge your BAS on your behalf.
  • Give us full advisor access, including managed users access, to your Xero file.

Once those are in place, we get to work. You will start receiving regular communication from us, whether that is requests for missing receipts or bills, your payment run for approval, your aged receivables report, or your monthly management reports. Everything runs on a regular cycle so nothing falls through the cracks.

Common Questions

Do you publish your prices?

We do not publish specific rates because every file is different. The scope of work, the complexity, the number of transactions, the number of entities, and whether catch-up work is needed all affect what your engagement will cost. We give you a clear proposal through Ignition before any work begins so there are no surprises.

How long before I move to a fixed monthly fee?

For non-childcare clients, month three. By then we know your file, the catch-up is done, and we can accurately price your ongoing monthly work. For childcare centres, the fixed fee starts from day one.

What is your minimum engagement?

Three hours per month. Below that we cannot maintain the file to the standard we hold ourselves to.

What services can I include?

Bookkeeping, payroll, bill payment, BAS lodgement, monthly reporting, and year-end tax accountant assistance. We scope the engagement around what you need. You do not have to take every service.

Can I just get payroll?

For childcare clients, yes. We do payroll-only engagements for childcare centres. For other business types we prefer to have oversight of the full bookkeeping function.

What do I need to do to get started?

Sign the Ignition proposal, give us read-only bank access, nominate us as your BAS Agent through the ATO online services portal, and give us full advisor access to your Xero file. Once those are in place, we start work.

Are you a registered BAS Agent?

Yes. Accounts Advantage is a registered BAS Agent as a firm. On top of that, many of our individual team members hold their own BAS Agent registration too. That means the person handling your books is qualified and accountable in their own right, not just covered under someone else’s licence. You get two layers of professional protection.

Where are you based?

We are based in Loganholme and work with businesses across the Gold Coast, Logan, Brisbane south side, and all of Queensland. We work remotely with clients across the state.
